2,522 Flights in September and a 98% On-Time Performance Record for Air Peace
The largest airline in West and Central Africa, Air Peace, has revealed that 2,566 flights were scheduled, of which 2,522 were actually flown. In addition, 231 flights were delayed, 96 were rescheduled, and 27 flights were cancelled.
The airline reported a 98 percent schedule reliability and an 87 percent on-time performance in a news release to journalists on Thursday, October 5, 2023.
The airline explained that external reasons such bad weather, mandatory airfield closures, ramp congestion, boarding gate congestion, and bird strikes were to blame for 95% of the delays in September.
"As soon as an aircraft is prepared for takeoff, the flight crew notices a problem. The engineers must assess and repair the aircraft before it may take flight.
Established safety standards will never be compromised by Air Peace. Safety continuously serves as the foundation for all operational decisions we make because we take pride in being the safest airline in Nigeria, according to the announcement.
As an airline of choice offering a best-in-class travel experience for its respected customers throughout domestic, regional, and worldwide markets, the airline pledged to continuously optimise its operations. This commitment was based on a customer-first attitude and an ingrained safety and quality culture.
