Deontay Wilder Still Desires A Matchup With Anthony Joshua "As Soon As Possible"

Negotiations for a lucrative fight in Saudi Arabia are "dead," according to Joshua's promoter Eddie Hearn, who will instead look for an other location for a fight in February or March.

Despite rumours of a breakdown in negotiations for a bout in Saudi Arabia, Deontay Wilder "would love" to face Anthony Joshua "as soon as possible."

The British heavyweight rival and American boxing superstar were scheduled to square off in the Middle East at the end of the year.

However, negotiations for a lucrative fight in Saudi Arabia have "not materialised," according to Eddie Hearn, Joshua's promoter, who will now look for an other location for a fight in February or March.

The former WBC champion still "desires" a fight with Joshua in the near future, according to Wilder's manager Shelly Finkel.

On October 28, Tyson Fury will go to Saudi Arabia to face former UFC champion Francis Ngannou.

If Tyson Fury wins, the promotional teams for Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury are anticipated to resume discussions about a bout for the undisputed heavyweight championship. Prior to this match, Saudi Arabia was mentioned as the preferred location.
